Directions to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Coming from the Northeast to the Smokies:

From Harrisburg, Pa., and Roanoke, Va., travel south on I-81 to I-40 east. Take I-40 to Wilton Springs/U.S. 321 south and west exit 440. Turn right and follow U.S. 321 into Gatlinburg, Tn. From light No. 1, you'll travel less than a mile to the National Park entrance and the Sugarland Visitors Center.

If you are enroute from the Baltimore/Washington D.C. area, take I-66 to I-81 south, then to I-40 east. From there, take I-40 to Wilton Springs/U.S. 321 south and west exit 440. Turn right and follow U.S. 321 straight into Gatlinburg. From light No. 1, it's less than a mile to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance and the Sugarland Visitors Center.
