Gatlinburg is the home base of the Smoky Mountains Arts & Crafts Community; a broad collection of celebrated painters, photographers, craftspeople, and more, who make the Smoky Mountains region home. For many Tennessee visitors a popular way to remember the splendor of the Smoky Mountains region is by taking home some of the magnificent work of these Smoky Mountains Arts and Craftspeople. There certainly is no shortage of artistry to choose from. A stroll through downtown Gatlinburg leads visitors from one artist studio and crafts shop to the next. One could spend an entire afternoon meandering through downtown Gatlinburg- enjoying the artistry of these world-class painters and photographers.
